For the last two years I have heard over and over again how high oil prices had nothing to do with supply and demand. I heard Democrats, conspiricists, and pundits droning on endlessly how the "big oil" has the power to set their prices, they were gouging consumers, and they had their cronies in the Bush administration helping them along.
