This is a post by Steel, from Betsy's page, one of my favorites.
I couldn't say it better. It was NOT a botched joke. The man went to Yale and law school and OCS and has been a public speaker all of his adult life. Not only that, he prides himself on his verbiage, case in point, his pronounciation of the word 'Genghis'. He speaks 3 languages. He said exactly what he meant to say - that if you study ... more » Sunday, October 29

Feb. 26, 1945 Opposition leaders are once again questioning our presence in the Gulf of Japan as losses mount on the Island of Iwo Jima. "The incompetence of this administration is mind boggling" said a senior senator. "Can't we just pull out now, the Japanese are defeated!" said another. Other congressional leaders questioned the use of "illegal' tactics against axis prisoners. And In a SPECIAL REPORT the NY Times has uncovered a secret plan by the administration to create a ... more » Wednesday, October 25

Marxist, Lefty, Li-brul Ideas. Yes, even I, a self described conservative-libertarian agree with two Ideas which ... more » Wednesday, October 11

An essay on why to vote republican in these upcoming elections. Now, there are plenty of reasons not to vote Republican, but I thought this essay pointed out the best reasons to get out and vote for the GOP.

Here is an article by John Hawkins from right Wing News. After the article is my reply:
What Passes For "Mainstream" Liberal Thought These Days
The Smirking Chimp is an extremely popular liberal weblog. Just to give you an idea of how popular it is, it pulls roughly 4 times as much traffic as Right Wing News does. So, it's very fair to call it a mainstream liberal weblog. So, what sort of "mainstream" ideas does this "mainstream" liberal blog ... more » Monday, October 2

The one of thinking that Sovereign Nation-States should act like individuals.
For instance, Giving to charity is a good thing, but the State giving to charity is a bad thing because you are stealing the money from one part of the population and giving to another. This always has perverse effects. If it is considered a public benefit to give a low level of aid so that you do not have starving people in the streets of your city, then ... more » |
